This little light box 'o' mine

So here's the last of the light boxes and it's the sun. This one looks pretty good with the light coming in behind it and catching the streaks in the marker.

Angel Box

So what's the devil without his counter part? This was an atteempt to do the opposite of the devil. Round head vs sharp points, mustache vs. mustache, pipe vs no pipe, well you get the idea. Also it's a bit hard to tell but his mooooostache is very fuzzy.

Light Boxes

To keep my hands busy I've been making these little light boxes. They are three foam core square glued together with one layer of tracing paper and one layer of cardstock, in between  them. The tracing paper is colored with Prismacolor markers, which have a radiance to them and look really amazballs in sunlight. The cardstock has the face of the devil cut in to it then the whole thing is slapped together. There are quite of few of these in different style but the same basic idea and I'll post more of them over the next couple of days.

What's new....pussycat

So it appears that I have been doing nothing the last few months but this could not be farther from the truth. After moving to North Carolina, I've lost a space to make movies, well not make them as much as there's no place to shoot them in our current living space.

But I haven't been idle. I've been working on few new things, which I'm going to post over the next few weeks, but right now I'm going to go get a sandwich.

The Devil in a Red Fez

Belezebubba can bite my shinny metal ass, I'm napping here
After several months the devil finally gets a nice velvety close up.   It's hard to tell but the background is red, velvet matte board, giving him that luxurious evil feeling.
"Ooooohhhh so soft, so evil, that lord of the flies is classy fellow, what with the monocle and all."

The cat still dose not care.

Next up an angel in tweed.

The Devil and the cat

So to kept idle hands busy I made the devil. I had the idea of making a devil in a blue suit, a bear in blue flannel and so on.... But Doug gave me some real nice red, velvety matte board that I want to do something with. However, everything I've done so far relies on light shinning through it, so to use the matte board I'll have to concocte something that doesn't.  And yes the Devil is smoking two cigarettes, he is that bad.

Ultimate evil...phfft.

The Debbies

Here is a little short that started off as just an excuse to mess with shapes,(just like on Sesame Street). The yellow dresses where made first, by drawing lines and circles on to paper then cut into the shape of a dress. The dress on the far right is several different pieces of blue gel layered and then cut into the shape of the dress.  It was originally suppose to be just a still shot ,(it kind of still is) but then,  "What the hell, throw in some mambo, a few more people and call it a short.
