Colder weather ahead...

Autumn leaves are starting to fall and that means bears are getting ready to hibernate and that of course means flannel.

The Dandyest of Bears...

I present you a rather fancy bear, in his rather fancy suit and tie. This is my favorite bear so far, I think the linen background and pale blue suit work well. I've thought of trying to make a version of this bear to try and sell on Esty, maybe even a series of bears.

Bring on the bears...

So here's the first in a long line of what I've been doing lately...
Here is the first of a series of dashing bears that have been running through my head for a awhile. He's in a classic red velvet vest and green lien tie, perfect for drinks after dinner. Just before going out for a couple of beers.

The Devils' in the woodwork....

The second and last, for now, wood lightbox thingys. Another variation of the devil with a sweet stache and fez. The fez is made of red velvet matte board, so it's extra cool.

How much wood.....?

IT"S A WOOD CHUCK (TAYLOR)! HA! That's funny I don't care who you are. So this is a version of a light box, without light, (scratches head.) The back of the box is really thin pieces of plywood and then the next level is the cut out of the shoe. The star was the hardest part to make because, it's really, really tiny. Also for some reason that escapes me now I made it with scissors  instead of an Xcto knife.

The Birds

A bit of a change of pace, BIRDS!!!! Three birds flying south for the great deals at Crazeee Eddie's Discount Carpet Barn or some such. Each bird is at a slightly different height from each other. And the top one's wings extend past the matte, where the bottom one's wing tuck under. These are the failed bird from March 12, 2012.

This little light box 'o' mine

So here's the last of the light boxes and it's the sun. This one looks pretty good with the light coming in behind it and catching the streaks in the marker.
